This is my first time being out on this point. This was a nice little Park and had a Fitness trail and along the trail had signs telling you about the local environment on the beach which I thought was really cool.
One of my favorite places in the world. It is far out there on long Island but it is worth the trip. The beach is never over crowded. Lots of shells to hunt for. Beautiful clean facilities. Ample parking. Everyone you come in contact with from the lifeguards to the maintenance staff are all very friendly and helpful. Much different from any other NY state park I have visited. Can't wait to return.
Lots of cool trails and wildlife at this National Natural Landmark. You might see a few seasonal birds and tortoises if you take the path west. Try not to disturb the nesting ospreys!
Great place. I have been going here since the early 1970's. Great memories.
